Privacy Policy

Overview

The Studio (Boulder) ("The Studio," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by The Studio, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company located at 3550 Frontier Ave, Suite A2, Boulder, CO 80301. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through thestudioboulder.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. This policy covers your interactions with the Site and with our digital marketing (such as our email newsletter). It does not cover the separate agreements you sign to book an event or become a coworking member — those include their own privacy terms.

Information You Provide

When you submit an inquiry, book a tour, contact us, or subscribe to our email list, we collect the information you give us, including: first and last name, email address, phone number, company or organization, event type, preferred event date and time, guest count, membership interest, team size, preferred move-in timeline, communication preferences, and any message you choose to share. If you follow up by email or phone, we also keep that correspondence.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site we automatically collect standard log and device data, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, session duration, and interactions with forms and links. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies described below.

Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

We use the following third-party services on the Site. Each may set cookies or process limited personal data on our behalf:

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic measurement, campaign attribution, and site-improvement analytics.
  • Google Ads — conversion tracking (so we can measure which ads generate inquiries) and remarketing (so we can show relevant ads to people who have previously visited the Site). Remarketing is considered "targeted advertising" under Colorado and California privacy law — see Your Privacy Choices below to opt out.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — measures the performance of our Meta ads, identifies when a visitor submits an inquiry, and allows us to show relevant ads to people who have previously visited the Site (Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences). This activity is also considered "targeted advertising" under Colorado and California privacy law; see Your Privacy Choices below to opt out.
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 — bot and spam prevention on our inquiry forms. Use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Sentry — error and performance monitoring to help us diagnose site issues. We do not use Sentry Session Replay.
  • Google Maps and Tripleseat embed — map and event-inquiry widgets embedded from third-party providers that may set their own cookies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may break certain features (for example, forms that rely on reCAPTCHA).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: respond to inquiries and schedule tours; prepare and deliver event proposals, contracts, and invoices; manage coworking memberships and leads; send transactional communications (replies, appointment confirmations, tour reminders); send marketing emails to people who have opted in (see below); detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; measure the performance of our marketing channels and serve relevant advertising; and improve the Site and our services.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. When we use remarketing advertising, that activity is considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California and Colorado law, and you may opt out as described below.

Marketing Email

We send marketing emails — such as newsletters, event announcements, promotions, and community updates — only to people who have opted in by checking a clearly-labeled box on one of our forms, or by subscribing directly. We send marketing email through Resend, our email service provider.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address, in compliance with the federal CAN-SPAM Act. Unsubscribe requests are honored promptly — no later than ten business days — after which we retain your email on a suppression list so we do not accidentally message you again. Even after you unsubscribe from marketing messages, we may still send you transactional communications (for example, responses to a tour request, contract documents, or booking confirmations) that are necessary to provide the service you asked for.

Phone & Text

We collect phone numbers so that we can respond to your inquiry — by call, voicemail, or text — about the specific event, tour, or membership you asked about. We do not send marketing text messages. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy and collect separate written consent through a clearly-labeled checkbox on the form.

Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate our business, and only to the extent needed to provide their service:

  • Tripleseat — event inquiry, proposal, booking, and invoicing management.
  • Ground Control — our coworking customer relationship management platform, where we track coworking inquiries, tours, and member communication.
  • HubSpot — downstream CRM that receives coworking lead records from Ground Control.
  • Google — analytics, ad measurement and remarketing, and reCAPTCHA (see above).
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — ad measurement, conversion attribution, and remarketing audiences (see above).
  • Resend — delivery of marketing and transactional email.
  • Sentry — error and performance monitoring.
  • Sanity — content management platform used to publish Site content; does not receive form submissions.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — our hosting, database, and supporting infrastructure vendors store inquiry records and deliver Site content.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of The Studio, our visitors, or others. If our business is sold or reorganized, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we have a legitimate reason to keep it. Our general retention timelines are:

  • Inquiry records — up to 3 years after the last contact, so that we can respond if you reach out again.
  • Executed event contracts and related records — up to 7 years, to comply with our tax and accounting obligations.
  • Marketing email list — for as long as you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email on a suppression list for up to 2 years to make sure we do not message you again.
  • Analytics data — Google Analytics user-level data retained for 14 months; aggregated reports may be retained longer in a form that does not identify you.
  • Error monitoring data — retained by Sentry for up to 90 days.

Your Colorado Privacy Rights

If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act gives you the right to: (1) confirm whether we process your personal data and access that data; (2) correct inaccuracies in that data; (3) delete personal data; (4) obtain a portable copy of data you provided to us; and (5) opt out of the processing of your personal data for the purposes of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. You also have the right to appeal our decision on any of these requests.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@thestudioboulder.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days. If we cannot verify your identity or otherwise cannot fulfill your request, we will tell you why — and you may appeal by replying to our decision within 45 days. If your appeal is denied you may contact the Colorado Attorney General.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you rights similar to those described above — including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of your personal information, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise these rights using the same email contact above, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Your Privacy Choices

You have several ways to control how we and our partners use your information:

  • Opt out of targeted advertising — email info@thestudioboulder.com with "Opt Out of Targeted Ads" in the subject line, or enable the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser (see below).
  • Opt out of marketing email — click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email, or email us at the address above.
  • Manage cookies — use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking reCAPTCHA will prevent our forms from working.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics — install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
  • Adjust Google Ads personalization — use Google's Ads Settings.
  • Adjust Meta ad personalization — use Meta's Ad Preferences (Facebook/Instagram account required), or opt out of interest-based advertising through the DAA WebChoices tool.

Global Privacy Control

Some browsers and extensions let you send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — an HTTP header that tells websites you wish to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. When we detect a GPC signal we pass an opt-out flag to our tag manager that blocks our personalized- advertising tags for that session. Colorado and California treat GPC as a valid universal opt-out mechanism, and we honor it accordingly.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Under the Colorado Privacy Act, data of a known child is considered sensitive data, which we will not process without a parent's verifiable consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, social media profiles or partner venues). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their policies before providing information.

International Visitors

The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for visitors located in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. Personal information you provide will be processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or communicated by email where appropriate.
